About me
This is a picture of me and my beautiful family taken this fall. My husband Luke and I have been married for 18 years. Oh my goodness, where has the time gone. We are both originally from Tryon and graduated high school here. It was always our dream to come back here and raise our family. Luke works for Union Pacific Railroad. We have four beautiful children. Leyton is 12 and is in the 7th grade. He surprises me everyday with the things that he knows. Devanee aka Bob is 10 and is in 5th grade. She cracks me up with everything that she says. Brody is 7 and is in 2nd grade. He keeps life interesting with his bubbly personality. KayCee is almost 4 and keeps us on our toes.
As far as myself, this is my seventh year teaching. I am the K-12 School Counselor and I also serve as the district technology coordinator and I am responsible for a lot of the state reporting. I am very passionate about this school and community. I strive to give the students at MCS the best possible education to prepare them for the real world. I still think of myself as a young adult, but one of my students the other day informed me that 30 is old. Yikes!! I guess I fall into the old category now. Even though I am considered old I love my job and the smile that the students put on my face. I hope everyone has a great year!
